- Walk property perimeter; check for visible maintenance issues.
- Remove newspapers, flyers, and fallen yard debris.
- Inspect landscaping; notify landscapers of any problems.
- Check windows, screens, doors, fences, and walls for damage or intrusion.
- Check for signs of pests or insects.
Home Interior
- Inspect overall condition and signs of water leaks (under sinks, around appliances, ceilings, doors, windows).
- Check for pest activity.
- Verify entry points are secure.
- Check refrigerator and freezer.
- Flush toilets and run faucets.
- Open property prior to arrival; close and secure upon departure.
